Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background tells you something. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
This is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
The Bonus
TabTrade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
